2017 NPL Coaching Appointments

PS4 National Premier League Coach

Northern Rangers FC are excited to announce the coaches that will take the reins in 2017.
Taking the helm as NPL Head Coach is Lino Sciulli.  PS4 NPL’s 2015 Coach of Year has been welcomed across from their local rivals, to bolster coaching ranks and bring in an experienced leader well accustomed to the challenges of state league football.
Adding to the depth of coaching at the top, Darren Cook will also again call Rangers home for 2017, assisting in the NPL.  Darren’s experience in the Federation’s development programs over many years will greatly assist the squad.
Lastly for the NPL, Dane Hudson has come back on board also as an assistant.  Dane who has been involved in NRFC’s state league coaching ranks since 2014 is familiar with players, club and what is needed to succeed in the Tasmanian NPL.
NRFC’s Vice-President Mark Jefferson confirms “The club is delighted to have such a strong, passionate coaching group.  The three coaches are familiar with each other. Lino never been at the club before will bring a clean slate and new ideas.  They are all club coaches, doing it for the love of the game and the development of the players around them.”
“I am honoured firstly to get the call and then for the opportunity to have the job.” Says Lino Sciulli.  When asked what his goals are for season 2017 his response was “Firstly to get the squad gelling together and then myself and my assistants will be working hard to move up the ladder.”
“When media coverage has been centred on how much the South dominates football terms with finances, it’s great to have club/community based coaches with experience and the accreditation to take us to the next level.” states Mark Jefferson.
Both Lino and Dane have C Licence accreditation and Darren adds to this with a B Licence to offer unprecedented quality and depth for the club.
“I would like to say a big thanks to our coaching selection panel; Marshall Pooley & Mitch Billing who have been doing this for a few years.  It was my first year on the panel and it was a great experience and also a big thank you to Nick Lanau-Atkinson who keeps developing as a leader in this club, who wanted to be part of establishing a great coaching structure for the club.  We are close to confirming our other coaching roles within the club and will release that and our coaching structure in the coming days.” Explains Mark Jefferson.
